The artistic collaboration between famous conductors and composers and the Vienna Philharmonic is illustrated by these four exhibition cabinets.
Using exhibits about the composers Johannes Brahms, Anton Bruckner, Richard Strauss, Hans Pfitzner, Franz Schmidt, Arnold Schönberg, Alban Berg and Anton Webern, this historical room brings the orchestra's past and present activities to life and creates awareness of Austria's musical tradition: details of famous tours, orchestral awards, the batons of famous conductors and other memorabilia provide an insight into the work of one of the world's most famous orchestras, making it easy to understand the orchestra's national and international reputation.
